I..find myself grabbling with ..constantly calculating what is the best course of action,.. with many voices wanting to direct the course, yet simultaneously with no one wanting to be accountable ... https://t.co/VbKHMLpIXY via @cleung26

CSO RCT Checklist.
@csoncol RCT team has just published in @TheLancetOncol a CHECKLIST to design and report cancer drug RCTs.
You know about CONSORT checklist for RCTs but this CSO checklist is specifically for cancer drug RCTs and incorporates items such as crossover, censoring etc that affect interpretation of cancer drug RCTs.
We have checklist at the design phase of RCTs, and hope trialists/trial funders/sponsors/reviewers/IRBs etc use this checklist to ensure the trials are designed to accurately answer questions that matter to patients.
We also have a checklist at the reporting phase of RCTs and hope authors/reviewers/editors/journals/readers and other users of the publication (regulators, payors, physicians, patients, media, public) use this checklist to ensure that the interpretations are made correctly and accurately.
Super thankful to and proud of our @csoncol Project RCT team for getting this published. Real work now begins to get this implemented.

I don’t have the most recent edition but looking at this book brought back lots of memories. I survived my PharmD rotations with this pocket book in my lab coat and has consulted this book many times in my career. I still refer to it often. 🤓
@vivianktlee I just had a conversation with my daughter about indigo. She questioned why indigo is a recognized colour within the rainbow. “It is just a shade of blue and violet.” We see what we want to see, just like there is so many shades of white.
In our recent webinar, we shared information on improvements to our Drug Reimbursement Review process. The program changes we presented will be fully described in a consultation document that will be posted on our website on January 6, 2025.

@horsepharmer I used to see his names around the faculty but never had the opportunity to experience his teaching. Nowadays, people may just record the lecture and take pictures of the chalk board.
That’s why I continue to take notes despite all the available handouts and slides. The act of writing helps me to understand the info and retain it. I may not look at my notes again but just the act of writing the down important points deepens my understanding of the material.
"Our results reveal that whenever handwriting movements are included as a learning strategy, more of the brain gets stimulated, resulting in the formation of more complex neural network connectivity...typewriting do[es] not activate...networks the same way that handwriting does."
If you like the Parthenon, then you'll love ancient Greek architecture.
2,500 years ago, it produced some of the greatest wonders the world has ever seen.
Here are the best ones.. 🧵
