What a treat to attend WGA’s screening of Sean Baker’s Palm D’or winning ‘ANORA’, and to hear from the film’s star Mikey Madison. The film is extraordinary, reminiscent of the best of Beineix and Carax. Madison is excellent in it, and speaks beautifully about her work.

Tuesday, 17 Dec. at 2.30 pm @CarlowLibraries sees the launch of “Civil War” publication. My contribution to the collection is a short story set in my family home entitled “The Volunteer”, which dramatizes the witnessing of the funeral of executed IRA member James Lillis.

@Avid @MediaComposer is the gltichiest, crashiest, buggiest editing software I ever used and unfortunately I’ve been obliged to use it since 1995. I wonder when it will ever work properly.
