people hating & complaining this much about a season before it’s even come out & they have no idea how it’ll play out is honesty so lame. & you don’t need to announce that you’re not watching the season in every comment section because nobody cares & it’s so unfair to the actors
I don’t know how to possibly write a good enough caption for this character and this day, today is the ten year anniversary and lexa is as missed now as she was one day after her death. She changed everything and I miss her deeply❤️ goodbye, lexa, we hardly knew you #clexa
today i was in the mood to write, so if you're not into a think piece, feel free to skip :)
everyone knows that the example set by zeudi during her time in that house inspired many people to change their lives. whether it was to come out and live freely, to find the strength to leave difficult situations (there are quite a few stories from people dealing with depression and similar problems), or even just to change small things about themselves.
it's also common knowledge that the way she was treated by the show, by a few of the people she was in there with, and especially by the public, with constant attacks, towards someone who was still quite young, made a lot of people feel the need to build a little protective bubble around her, to make sure she was at least somewhat okay.
the only problem is that, even though this came from a good place, it also created a really big issue: some people took this protective feeling and sense of connection to an extreme, to a completely parasocial level. people who built, in their own minds, such a strong bond that this fandom and zeudi became almost their only source of happiness and purpose.
in my opinion (and it's just my opinion, everyone lives how they want), this is not healthy. not for these people, not for the fandom, and not for zeudi. because alongside this connection, they built an image of a 24 year old as someone completely perfect, with no room for mistakes or growth, which is obviously wrong.
there's no space for constructive discussions because any opinion that goes against this perfect image (even when shared respectfully) is seen as a huge personal attack and instantly met with insults. they behave as if they've been zeudi's close friends for years, and think they have the right to control who she's friends with, who she's around, who she stops talking to. every part of her life becomes something they feel they can control. because she's one of their main sources of joy, it turns into a massive, obsessive and unhealthy dependency. london and this recent patty situation are just two examples out of many.
and of course, it's important to say this doesn’t represent most people in the fandom, and people can rightly say it's just a loud minority (because it is). the only problem is that this loud minority slowly starts affecting the healthier majority, pushing people away, especially those who used to speak up against these behaviours, and in doing so, it becomes even more present.
as much as we all care about zeudi, it's good to remember that everyone here is, until she herself says otherwise, just someone who supports her. everyone has their own life that shouldn't be forgotten or neglected, because that neglect often leads to overcompensating with an unhealthy focus on these things, which then becomes problematic. it's important that everyone reflects on that.
we are a fandom that’s supposed to represent kindness, equality, creativity, love & acceptance, we donate to charities, we always show up, we’re involved & engaged. Don’t lose sight of what matters and why we’re all here. Stop unnecessary drama and be kind to each other #zeudiners
I started thinking back to those first lives that we got & back to that first week after zeudi left gf & it’s honestly incredible what we’ve experienced together since then & how far she’s come. I want to remind everyone why we’re here, it’s for her, always always 🫶🏼 #zeudiners
if you don’t like something you don’t have to voice your personal opinions from an account that is supposed to represent the fandom, it screams unprofessional especially when the majority of the fandom do not feel the same, like you are free to just quietly leave #zeudiners
