thinking about derek shepherd, a man in his 40's doing a dancey dance for his wife because she was sad and not talking to her person and he did what her person would have done to make his wife happy. she is his breathe of fresh air and he would do anything to make her happy

Edna Mode in THE INCREDIBLES (2004) has maybe ten minutes of screen time and somehow leaves with half the movie. A character so entertaining that an entire generation can hear “No capes!” in her voice immediately.
Older animation is always more appealing to me because they were aware that they were animating a cartoon. Now, they're so obsessed with hyperrealism. No, I don't need to see the character's individual eyelashes or their pulse; just make it look like a well-made cartoon.
