The best athletes in the world do not train alone. And, every single one of them has a coach.
Many attribute their success to their coaching team.
So why do so many leaders think they’re supposed to know everything?
Having a coach is a secret weapon most of the time. It means you are intentional about learning, improving and raising your standards continuously.
I see leaders as 'business athletes'.
Getting coached is what smart people do when they want to grow.

And if you're a coach looking to lead these exact types of transitions, join my Masterclass on April 28. Details in bio! 🚀
Tim Ferriss (@tferriss) is known for deconstructing excellence. But in our sit-down for my former podcast, we went somewhere most interviewers don't go: The invisible side of success.
Here are 5 "Change Optimist" lessons from one of the best minds in the game. 🧵
4/ "Smooth, professional, and a hell of a lot of fun." Tim's words on our session.
The lesson? When you show up as an authentic interviewer (and human), you get the "un-scripted" answers that actually move the needle for your audience.
What a moment for space!
With all eyes on the Artemis mission, it's hard not to feel the scale of what's possible right now.
And how amazing technology is.
And how amazing the human mind is.
And how amazing our beautiful planet is.
I have the privilege of working with @isaraerospace , Europe's pre-eminent space company. Being on their rocket launch site in Norway, north of the Arctic Circle, gave me a perspective I won't soon forget.
What I appreciate most is that this work continues regardless of where I or they are in the world.
Recently, I joined ISAR's off-site leadership meeting remotely, delivering a keynote and facilitating a session with their team, a few weeks before their next launch!
Different setting. Same mission. Supporting the people behind the mission.
Ultimately, despite the crazy technology that can support all this, its still the humans who make extraordinary things happen.
I am going to be sharing as many ideas, tips and suggestions as possible behind creating a successful coaching practice. Live.
This will be the first time as I feel called to help more people.

The single biggest predictor of a leader’s success isn't their IQ or their track record. So what is it?
I was recently asked this in an interview that focused on the maturity of leadership teams.
I would choose open-mindedness. A leader who is open-minded will listen, learn, be coachable, and take on alternative viewpoints. They will be willing to try things and evolve.
When authority and humility come together, magic happens!
The Litmus Test
I look for specific traits right away:
Are they open-minded enough to want to look deeply and do the inner work?
Do they have high self-responsibility?
Will they be open to trying things not in their current model of the world?
Are they more interested in being right or in doing what's right?
I often push people immediately from the start to see their reactions to potential new questions and suggestions to see how they respond.
Why It Matters Now
When a leader gets too stuck in their current identity, then the identity of the company also starts feeling stuck. Leaders that change will thrive. Companies that change will thrive. The world is changing and is about to go through even more dramatic change. Leaders that stick to what they know or what they’ve always done will struggle. We need leaders who are willing to consider anything, whether the suggestions are:
Highly practical
Highly emotional
Highly spiritual in nature
Highly crazy sometimes
When a leader’s mind is really open, then their heart, soul, and intuition can also come into balance and be used to more effectively lead.

Coaching Q&A
Wellbeing has become a central theme in business. But people can tell the difference between what’s real… and what’s performative.
Question:
How do you know if a company truly values wellbeing, or is just trying to keep up?
Answer:
First, look at the leadership team.
Are they aligned with what they say matters?
If you have a gym and no leaders ever go, it doesn’t signal much.
I once spoke at a company where everyone knew the CEO went to the gym at 12pm daily. That sent a clear message. Health matters!
The same is true in reverse.
If leaders send emails on weekends and expect immediate responses, you are unconsciously telling people that rest is not truly respected.
Leaders lead by example.
If wellbeing and happiness matter, people will feel it.
People are not naive.
They know what is real and what is not.
Second, look at the intention.
Are wellbeing initiatives there to follow a trend? Are they a 'should'?
To increase performance?
Or because you genuinely care about your people?
The “why” matters.
Finally, who you are at work shows up at home.
And who you are at home shows up at work.
You cannot split people in two.
The most meaningful approaches to well being recognize this, and support the realities of life beyond work: children, ageing parents, fertility, health, working from home.
That is where real trust is built.
I’m hosting a one-time live workshop in April for coaches, where I’ll share more of my tools and experiences.
