Ok I like Nam’s stuff, but the way he’s been acting in regards to Reload is really rubbing me the wrong way. I don’t care that he prefers FES, I like FES too and dudes entitled to his opinion (1/?)

- Worse art & cutscene direction (the menus look nice at least)
- Interesting gameplay features removed (risk reward mechanics, multiple weapon types)

But I don’t think that makes Reload worthless by default, hell portable has a whole other route exclusive to it. Anyway I won’t go on any longer, I have a whole 2 hour video detailing my thoughts on reload. TL;DR: they remade my favourite game and made me like it even more (3/3)

For me it’s Reload. I love FES & Portable and while I don’t think it get EVERYTHING perfect I just think Reload is the best experience overall to play. (1/?)

I’ve seen a lot of people say it feels more like a supplemental piece to the original but to me that’s exactly what a remake SHOULD do. I don’t think a remake should EVER aim to outright replace the original. So do FES and Portable still do some things better? Yes. (2/?)

I prefer FES myself, I really don't like the dating-sim VN presentation of portable but it brings in so much valuable content too that can't carry over into FES

I’m currently just under 10 hours in to the Xbox Series X version and while I’ll say I think the port is fine and still probably the best version of P3 thanks to some of the new additions… yeah they barley fucking tried with the upscale.

Persona 3 is one of the few pieces of media to ever genuinely make me cry, it’s story is incredibly well written and it’s character are super realistic with their own flaws that you see them over come as the game progresses.
