This afternoon our Y6’s have been canoeing and raft building. Some of the children fell and ended up in the water and others stayed on the raft. They are all having a great time so far.
We were delighted to have our implementation journey included on page 40 of the updated EEF Metacognition guidance report: https://t.co/BS1qiQkSKW.
Supporting our pupils to develop their metacognition from an early age is central to our approach to teaching and learning at CLIC.
Some snaps from one of our favourite pupil events of the year - our CLIC Easter egg decoration competition. Always blown away by the effort and creativity 💜
Principle 2 of our Teaching Framework puts inclusion at the heart of what we do. This year our SENDCO learning circle have focussed on what ordinarily available provision looks like across our classrooms. This will shape the work of SEND teams in our schools.
We are so proud of our Trust Teaching Framework. Written by a group of teachers, teaching assistants and leaders it codifies a number of evidence informed high impact teaching strategies. This model for excellence underpins our CPD offer for all staff.
Friday was a busy day spent reflecting on how we apply the evidence on feedback in our daily practise. It was great to have the time to revisit this key priority with two of our schools and hear how our teachers skillfully apply evidence in action. #Togetherwemakethedifference
Looking forward to stage 1 of our Leadership Pathway this evening. Always great to get together with leaders and talk evidence informed practice. This evening we will be looking at how engaging with evidence can support the role of a subject leader. #Togetherwemakethedifference
Great to spend time with our subject leads yesterday talking about how we can use AI to support teacher workload across the curriculum. Some great takeaways including using AI to support the creation of consistent visual scaffolds to support explicit vocabulary instruction.
Brilliant session with our Music leads as part of our subject network series yesterday. Great to chat ordinarily available provision across the curriculum and share practice. #Togetherwemakethedifference
Really looking forward to our series of subject networks meetings this week. Looking at how AI can support teachers across the curriculum and what ordinarily available provision looks like across the curriculum. #Togetherwemakethedifference
Session one of Stage 4b of our Leadership Development Pathway tonight. It's so interesting to hear the collaborative self-reflection discussions in relation to the Headteacher Standards #TogetherWeMakeTheDifference
Our annual MAT Leadership Team Away Day is underway at the AJ Bell stadium. We're spending the morning reflecting upon our journey implementing coaching so far. Amazing collaboration between our school leaders #TogetherWeMakeTheDifference

Year 6 had a great trip in Manchester today to learn all about the Pankhurst family and what impact they had on changing the lives of women. So exciting to learn about history that happened so locally to us! @PankhurstCentre#localhistory#equality
