Follower of Jesus, Husband, Dad, Church Planting Team Leader for @SCBaptist, Springsteen Fan, SC Native, Opinions are mine, and likely not that interesting.
Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, bearing this inscription: The Lord knows those who are his, and let everyone who calls on the name of the Lord turn away from wickedness.

The online SBC chatter two weeks out from the Annual Meeting is fairly predictable. Strong opinions, hot takes, and commentary from every angle; including from some people who are not even part of our Convention. I suppose we all have something to say.
But here’s something else that’s predictable.
In a few weeks, thousands of Southern Baptists will gather in one place. Most of them will be gracious, joyful, thoughtful people who genuinely enjoy being together and who sincerely want what is in the best long-term interest of our shared mission. We will not agree on everything, and we will not always get everything right. But God has a way of working through imperfect people who genuinely seek Him.
Here’s to the season! #SBC26
