Well done to all our pupils who took part in the County Sligo Primary Schools Cross Country 2021. Our Junior boys finished in 8th place, out of a field of 21 teams. A very impressive result! Thanks to Ms Higgins for organising our school's entry.
4th, 5th and 6th class took part in the SuperValu Athletics Fest which is held every year during the European Week of Sport. Well done to all children who participated!
During September and October, all classes focused on the Athletic Strand of the P.E. curriculum. As well as taking part in many running challenges and activities, children in senior classes developed their throwing skills and practiced throwing the shot putt and the discus
We surveyed pupils to see which physical activities they were involved in outside of school - soccer, Gaelic football and swimming were most popular. ๐โฝ
We created a WalkWay around the whole perimeter of the school. The WalkWay is 335m long, a great way to get some exercise during the school day. ๐ถโโ๏ธ๐ถโโ๏ธ
Day 4 Active School Week
Well done to all classes who took part in our sponsored walk. 1498euro was raised which will go towards the purchase of sports equipment for the school.
Active School Week Day 3-All classes took part in orienteering games and activities. Thanks to Mr McNally for organising all the activities. Ms Drummond's class had a great time at their 'Teddy Bears Picnic'.
