According to the Detroit News the Gordie Howe bridge, linking Michigan and Ontario, will open on Friday. Trump threatened to keep it closed unless Canada turned over ownership to the US.

Canada said "no." And Trump backed down!

@alexbrasky The real problem is that these teams play dull robotic defensive vanilla hockey. Not exciting not interesting to watch. That will cost NHL in fan support and media coverage over time. Follow the money. Officiating will have similar effect.

Just an observation before the Stanley Cup final next week, I wouldn’t challenge any goal for goalie interference. The league doesn’t want to overturn goals. That’s the base sentiment. Evidence has to be so overwhelming. Why risk it. I don’t blame Martin St. Louis, it’s desperation time tonight for his team. More a comment for the Cup final.
