Want to combat racial injustice? Start fighting for climate justice. Marginalized communities bear the brunt of the #climatecrisis, even though they contribute to it the least. If we’re going to tackle the climate crisis, we’re going to have to fight systemic racism too.
I feel slightly sick sharing this, but share it, I must.
We all need to take action, collectively and individually. We know how to conserve forests. And we know now is the time to act.
Let's halt deforestation and land degradation.
Not just say it, but mean it 🙏
Heat waves are likely to become more frequent in the future and represent a major challenge for agriculture. Heat waves can cause heat stress in both animals and plants and have a negative impact on food production. #agriculture#ClimateEmergency#climatechange#foodproduction
Crop production is projected to decrease in many areas during the 21st century because of climatic changes. Graph summarises average crop yield projection across all emission scenarios, regions, and with- or without-adaptation by farmers.

Agriculture is a major source of GHGs which contribute to the greenhouse effect and climate change. However, the changing climate is having far reaching impacts on agricultural production, which are likely to challenge food security in the future. #ClimateEmergency#climate
Peatlands play a critical role in the fight against #ClimateChange as they are natural carbon sinks.
Urgent global action is needed to conserve and restore peatlands.
New report launched at #COP27: https://t.co/AghykXf1nL
climate change is affecting global food production and is predicted to increasingly affect future food security through rising temperatures, changes in rainfall patterns, ocean acidification and frequent extreme weather events such as heat waves. #ClimateCrisis#ClimateAction
According to a recent NASA study that was just published in the journal Nature Food, under a high greenhouse gas emissions scenario, climate change may have an impact on the output of maize (corn) and wheat as early as 2030. The expected drop in maize crop yields is 24%.
The warning from IPCC known as Intergovernmental Panel On Climate Change over the impact of changing climate on food security.

World population is now 8 billion+ so lets all save earth today to survive tomorrow. Global warming is warning us to stop warming the earth. Keep forests green and oceans blue to reduce the effect of global warming. #climateemergency#climatechangedme#savetheplanet#savetheworld
