We are looking for everyday people who reside in the East Rand. We need extra hands to assist with our community cleanup actions, campaigning against environmental injustices, and outreach and climate education - join us today!

You definitely need some vegetables, so today, it is the perfect time to boil some! Collect this water, and once it has cooled you can use it to water plants.

You can also use this water, now called veggie broth, and freeze it for the winter time for a lovely soup.

Last one. This is Toy. He was the last striker to join, and though he felt shy, he still made a sign to show his support for the climate action.

When you use a towel once and throw it in the wash right after, you are wasting water and causing unnecessary laundry.

Today, you can challenge yourself to reuse a towel for a few days, and then switch to a clean one.

You need to do some laundry one of these days, so when that day comes, make sure that the washing machine is completely full before you use it, and use the most efficient water and energy settings.

If you need to rinse utensils or vegetables, fill the sink a bit with cold water, and don't leave the tap running. When you’re done with this water, throw it over your garden if you have one. Plants love it!
