The name Cayambe comes from the Quitu language and means source of life. The glacier and its crevasses are really impressive.

The name Antisana comes from the Cañari language and means dark mountain 🏔️🏔️🏔️. The climb is a real challenge and leads through impressive crevasses.

It's getting challenging 😲😲😲 with 𝗡𝗼. 𝟲 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗰𝘂𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿'𝘀 𝗕𝗜𝗚 𝟭𝟬 - 𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗭𝗔 𝗦𝗨𝗥 (𝟱𝟮𝟰𝟴 𝗺 / 𝟭𝟳𝟮𝟭𝟳 𝗳𝘁)

Its name comes from atacameño language and means "masculine hill". The combination of Iliniza Norte and Sur makes a lovely package.

We're getting steadily higher - today 𝗡𝗼. 𝟳 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗰𝘂𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿'𝘀 𝗕𝗜𝗚 𝗧𝗘𝗡 - 𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗬 volcano. Its name comes from the quechua word "samkay" and means the frightener 😱. Sangay is amongst South America's most active volcanos and currently in eruption 🌋🌋🌋.

𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗭𝗔 𝗡𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗘 is No. 8 out of 𝗘𝗰𝘂𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿’𝘀 𝗕𝗜𝗚 𝗧𝗘𝗡. Its altitude of 5126 m / 16818 ft and the good accessibility make the summit a very popular target for climbers 💪💪💪.

The real name comes from the atacameño word "Tioniza" and means "female mountain".
