I was having a zoom meeting when my daughter screamed. I have to pause to check on her.
Apparently my husband wanted bathing her because I was busy. She have just returned from school.
I shot both of them a daring glance and the house went quiet. My husband has been moody all day because I made a law never to bath any female child in our house.
He said I am making him a threat to his kids. Is there a better way to explain my reasons to him because I don't know how to start.
TIME FOR NATIONAL RECONCILIATION, RE-ORIENTATION & RECONSTRUCTION
The 2027 Presidential election is expected to be a major fight between PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU and his biggest challenger, ALHAJI ATIKU ABUBAKAR. It promises to be the battle of the Tians. A third force, hopefully, may show up, like it did in 2023, but not with enough fire power and tenacity to upstage, and obliterate, the two elder statesmen.
This is why it has become pertinent, and urgent, for our dear party ADC to change the traditional way of playing politics by becoming a link between the old and modern, conservative and cosmopolitan tendencies, veteran politicians and technocrats in government. There's no better combination than this duo, assuring of a colorful blend. The North and the South will reunite in a game of ethnic & religious rivalries.
The present combustive tensions, and absolute chaos, cannot be allowed to continue. It will consume all of us.
The time has come to retrace our steps and return to the days of robust ideas, ideologies and inspirational figures. Our founding fathers such as Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, The Sardauna Sir Ahmadu Bello, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, and others, tried their best, even if they were not perfect. Today, we've completely derailed from the legacies they bequeathed to us. The politics of gansterism has become unbearably malignant in our nation. This is the type of strong bridge we need between the North and the South.
We must act before it is too late...
AARE DELE MOMODU
Atiku supporters are the funniest bunch on here. They really think the DG of the World Trade Organization will leave her post to come deputize a serial loser. It’s genuinely even insulting.
You’re sending an adult man errands and blowing yourself breeze for adding 1k on each errand. Not factoring his time and effort. Why doesn’t she use dispatch riders and see if the cost will still be 1k?
Nigeria needs to work so poorer folks can be treated with dignity please
Since our new security man resumed work in March, my colleague usually sends him to get her lunch.
She usually sends ₦5,000 to his Opay.
The food she buys doesn't exceed ₦4,000, hence the extra tip is for him.
She has done this everyday since that March.
On Tuesday, as she sent him as usual, she later called him on phone to add Tigernut which is sold for ₦1,700 without sending any extra money.
Only for our security guy to call her, and asked for the extra ₦700.
My colleague didn't pay attention to him, because she was busy at work.
Only for our security guy to come back to the office to ask for the extra ₦700 without even buying the food.
Angrily, she asked him to send back her ₦5,000 that she wasn't interested in the food again.
Now our security guy went and told HR that since this week, that my colleague totally snubs his greetings, and it is making him so uncomfortable.
A certain Chelsea fan who hadn't called me in years suddenly decided to call me in the afternoon on Saturday to tell me that PSG would beat us. I respectfully disagreed and rejected his prediction.
Interestingly, he didn't call during the first half, nor did he call after the final whistle. But the moment we lost, my phone rang. Not only did he call to mock me, but he also had his phone on speaker while his friends joined him in laughing and making jokes at my expense.
This is the same person who couldn't find the time to call and congratulate me when we won the league title, yet he was quick to reach out after a defeat.
We shared some good memories as church friends years ago, but tonight marks the end of that friendship for me. I have blocked his number and will be removing him from all my social media platforms as well.
Why am I sharing this? Because life has a way of revealing people for who they truly are. Sometimes, the signs come in the smallest situations.
Yes, football comes with banter, and there is nothing wrong with healthy rivalry. However, some people use banter as a cover to display their real character.
Over time, I have learned that not everyone who calls themselves a friend truly deserves that title. Some people only show up when they have an opportunity to mock, belittle, or celebrate your disappointment.
I've had enough of such friendships, and I'm choosing peace over pretense.
Congratulations to all us GOONERS. We move forward together.
The Same PSG That demolished you 8 - 2 in the R 16...they couldn't beat Arsenal in the Final...Penalty could be anybody's game
Chelsea fans go and face your Destroyed club and leave Arsenal alone...they are the Premier League Champions..it would take Chelsea 20 years to win EPL
Something crazy just happened. I was coming home from watching the Arsenal game when a guy on a bike stopped in front of me, pulled out a gun, and told me to hand over my phone. Just as I accepted my fate, a ball came out of nowhere and hit his head. He collapsed on the spot. I’m hearing it was Gabriel’s penalty.
We probably deserve another red card for that last post! But in all seriousness, congratulations to @Arsenal on winning the Premier League and a great run in the Champions League.
Looking forward to picking up the battle again with you next season.
