@JasonGregor This is what has infuriated me most about the media. It’s uninformed to say they didn’t have depth, they did! The penalties early in the series killed the Oilers. They couldn’t roll 4 lines and 6 d and everyone got out of rhythm. So sad but that’s what happened.
Tonight is the start of the McDavid Cup era. Much like the ‘84 Oilers after getting a beating from the Islanders in game 2, the Oilers will never look back after today. #LetsGoOilers
@TheCultofHockey@edmontonjournal Bob mentioned that Rasmuss Andersson was the same cap hit as Broberg is going to get. Think the Oilers let Broberg go and trade for Andersson? That’s the only scenario here that I’m ok losing Broberg for.
@dstaples@edmontonjournal I’m pleased that you are trumpeting his value David. I’m very worried that he will leave and we will watch a top 15 NHL defenseman play elsewhere for the next 12 years.
@dstaples@edmontonjournal I just don’t get why the hell anyone would part ways with Broberg. He made things happen last year in the finals when they needed him. And he’s young! Him and Bouchard can be the top 2 defenseman for 12 more years! Letting him go would be a colossal mistake.
@Codie_Sanchez Done.
Was just discussing this with my family (we are Canadians). We see everything turning into big businesses dominating and the small companies that build communities going away. I hate it! 3 telecom companies, 5 banks, 2 hardware stores. They run everything and I hate it!
@TSNRyanRishaug To me it’s the most important signing for them along with Connor Brown. These guys were the best players in the SCF and simply lead by example.
@JasonGregor Him leaving Edmonton would be very hard on me. Brown too. Those two are what’s been missing the past 5 years. They turned the series around in the SCF!
@Bob_Stauffer@EdmontonOilers I’m sad to say that I think this one is a sweep, Bob. If you’ve watched the Panthers in their other series, you can see their opponent’s will go away. I think we saw that last night happen to the Oilers. I hope I’m wrong!
@JonnyRoot_ Every hero needs a good villain. The fact that they are being “evil” toward her is a good thing. When the hero overcomes the adversity it will make the moment that much better. Women’s sports needs more of this - you need pests, rats, etc. not everyone can be the hero.
