@cremieuxrecueil I acknowledge that I’m probably one of the nutjobs, but I have greatly reduced seed oils in my diet and I never seem to get sun burns now. I tan rather than burn.
The CEOs don't need the government to regulate them. They can self-regulate right now. Like the motion picture industry self-regulates. It's an industry agreement that they can negotiate with their competitors right now. Who better to ensure safety than the people on the cutting edge of the science?
But that isn't what Anthropic and OpenAI want. They want the government to build a bureaucracy and a set of rules that no open-source AI models can enter. This is pure regulatory capture, and the scare tactics work on the gullible public.
@Neighbor_Jeff@Anc_Aesthetics Your argument is false equivalency. The left canceled people for saying that COVID leaked from a lab and for refusing to post pronouns. This guy is celebrating the murder of political opponents. It’s not the same.
What a stupid headline. He owns 15,000 apartments, hotels, oil wells, gold mines, silver mines, bitcoin, etc. If he has loans for 1.2 billion on businesses that make enough money to pay the debt service, he is a genius. You might want to read the book. This is what he tells people to do.
Maybe the commentators should read the book. According to Grok… Kiyosaki repeatedly says he is “$1.2 billion in debt.” Recent reporting (Vanity Fair, Sept 2026) clarifies this is mostly partnership-level debt on a portfolio of ~1,500 apartment units, not a personal IOU of that size. His own slice is estimated much smaller ($30–60 million range based on claimed income). He refinances as properties appreciate and treats the new loan proceeds as tax-free cash (loans are not taxable income). He also uses depreciation and other real-estate tax rules so the portfolio can throw off cash while showing little or no taxable income.

@lost_in_multii@JohnnieOld@unusual_whales If I own 30 billion in assets that produce an income and I have them financed for 1.2 billion, and the income covers the debt service then hell yeah, that’s good debt.
@Teslaconomics I’m considering a similar life change. Currently I work as a small business owner - one-on-one with clients and leading a team. Next phase may be a work from anywhere, team of two situation. How has the transition to solo work been?
@CristiaMan13743 @willchamberlain Not good enough. Reparations are punishment for wrongdoing. It’s in the word. “Re-par”. Bring back to parity. We need our reparations.
Spending on public education has nothing to do with results. This has been shown over and over. Public education spending is up 40% since the 70s and test scores have plummeted. Teaching American exceptionalism is not whitewashing. America is exceptional. That’s why we need to secure the border. Everyone on the planet would rather live here. The only religion being forced into schools is wokeism. But good job parroting lib talking points. You might want to occasionally compare your beliefs to reality.
