Confidential transfers are live in public beta on Sui Devnet.
Transfer amounts and balances are private, with controlled visibility for compliance and auditability.
What this means for finance workflows: 🧵

Bear markets separate the teams who build from the teams who tweet. We chose building. Heads down, every day, on infrastructure most people won't appreciate until the moment they suddenly need it.
That moment is coming faster than the market thinks.
Confidential transfers are coming to #Sui.
The hard part of private money isn't hiding the amount but guaranteeing nobody can mint value out of thin air while the supply is shielded.
We solved it by scoping the cryptography down to one thing: range proofs on transfer amounts. Conservation of supply lives in the protocol, not the proof. Unauthorized mints are impossible by construction.
Today, we're going after one of AI's most important unsolved problems.
Introducing: Walrus Memory. 🦭
A portable memory layer that lets your AI agents carry context across every app you run them in.
No more starting from zero.
No more being locked into one platform.
Portable, verifiable, and fully under your control.
Take your agent's memory anywhere:
Sui mainnet is back online and transactions are flowing normally.
The end of epoch halt was triggered during the rollout of yesterday's long-term fix. As validators restarted to deploy the new binary, the randomness initialization that runs at the start of each epoch was unable to complete because it has a higher quorum threshold than Sui consensus. A latent bug in how that failure state is preserved across validator restarts then prevented the network from completing its transition to the next epoch.
Validators have implemented a fix that addresses both the underlying bug and the affected epoch, and network activity has resumed.
A more detailed incident review is forthcoming.
AI agents need a completely different execution surface than humans do
humans can wait between clicks. agents can't
with PAYMENT INTENTS, agenta can make multiple queries across multiple workflows, across multiple apps, and execute them instantly & atomically
only possible on @SuiNetwork
No loops. No lag. No limits.
@RaoulGMI says, Sui is built for the AI era. Only Sui’s object-centric model can process thousands of txns instantly, with flawless security.
The best builders choose Sui. Do you?
One of the things we wanted for sui from day one was for cryptography to keep evolving without hardforking the chain
meaning, cryptography is the math that lets you prove you own your wallet, sign a transaction, and trust the result
it's the foundation under every blockchain
and we believed the security primitives the world relies on were going to keep changing
zk was already shifting what was possible. post-quantum was further out but the direction was clear.
What's secure in 2018 or 2022 will not be what's secure in 2027 or 2036.
And every action you take on a blockchain has to be signed by your wallet, and that signing uses one specific kind of math baked into the chain
most chains picked one kind at launch and locked it in
and if a better or safer one shows up later, like a quantum-safe one, they have to fork the whole chain and ask everyone to migrate
we made the opposite call.
We built sui so new kinds of signing algorithms can be added without touching anything already running and without anyone needing to change their address
on the same chain, you can already sign with the method bitcoin uses, the method visa uses, zero-knowledge logins, or combinations of any of them.
We also made room for what was coming
because post-quantum signatures are far larger than the signatures used today
we sized the protocol to fit them from the start, while most chains did not
zklogin is the perfect example of this flexibility in production.
It was shipped as one more native signing option, letting people log into sui wallets with a google account using zk proofs
and the next big shift will be post-quantum signatures.
quantum computers are getting closer to the point where they will one day break the cryptography most wallets rely on today
and because that threat getting closer and closer each day chains like bitcoin, ethereum, and solana will have to fork to add a post-quantum scheme and ask everyone to migrate
on sui, it's one more native signing option, exactly like zk login.
This also means whatever bitcoin, ethereum, or solana pick for their own post-quantum transition is something sui can support natively
it's why hashi, the project bringing bitcoin to sui, will keep working no matter which algorithm bitcoin chooses for its quantum future
the same is true for ethereum, solana, or any other chain.
When those chains adopt a post-quantum scheme to replace their current signature method, every bridge and wrapped asset connecting them to sui keeps working through the transition
because sui can absorb whatever they choose as one more native option.
Meaning, every other chain was built around the cryptography that existed at launch
sui was built around the assumption that it wouldn't be enough
and what's true for cryptography is true for everything we built into sui
every layer was designed from first principles for what blockchains will need to do in the coming decades.
That's why i can say with full conviction that sui's architecture and design principles are superior to every other chain in the space
We do not stop shipping.

Institutions want shared infrastructure.
They don’t want full transparency, unpredictable costs, or crypto-native UX.
That’s been the blocker.
Today we’re introducing a new model: Sui Spheres
