Every religion eventually brings man back to the scales. Does my good outweigh my bad? Have I done enough? Have I prayed enough, suffered enough, obeyed enough, given enough, changed enough? And every man made religion leaves the sinner hoping that somehow the odds may fall in his favour.
But the gospel destroys the scales completely. Christianity does not say our good must outweigh our bad. It says we have no righteousness of our own that can stand before a holy God. “All our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment” (Isaiah 64:6). Even our best works cannot cleanse our guilt.
This is why Christ is not merely a helper for weak people. He is the righteousness of guilty sinners. Paul did not want to be found standing before God with his own righteousness, but with “the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith” (Philippians 3:9).
That is the difference. Every false religion tells man to climb. The gospel tells man he is dead, guilty, helpless, and unable to save himself. Then it points him to Christ, who obeyed perfectly, died sacrificially, rose victoriously, and becomes the only righteousness of His people.
“He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Christ alone is our righteousness. Not Christ plus our merit. Not Christ plus our religious effort. Not Christ plus our moral record. CHRIST ALONE. And the sinner who has Him has more righteousness than the law could ever demand from him, because he stands clothed in the righteousness of the Son of God.
Setting up and operating a law firm is a challenging journey. There can be times when you find yourself waiting for clients, staring at the ceiling in despair. It's during these moments that many lawyers consider giving up and seeking employment. I nearly did the same after registering my law firm in 2010, applying for jobs and making unsolicited applications to major law firms.
To navigate this tough period, an advocate needs intense self-drive and the willingness to embrace different practice strategies, all while maintaining ethical standards. The legal market is not as saturated as it may seem; it values talent and hard work. There is potential to survive and thrive, but it requires time—often around five years of consistent demonstration of talent, resilience, and delivering results.
It's important to remember that life is not always fair. You may see colleagues achieving milestones, like buying a Mercedes or a house, and feel as though the universe is against you. However, patience is key. Focus on your own journey and avoid comparisons with others. Your breakthrough will come.
The world is slightly less satanic now…
Puerto Rico has taken a historic step by recognizing unborn children as legal persons from conception. Senate Bill 504, signed into law by Governor Jenniffer González Colón, ensures that unborn children have legal protections, including insurance coverage, inheritance rights, and representation in certain circumstances.
This landmark law passed both legislative chambers with strong support and took effect immediately. Pro-life organizations celebrate this as a major affirmation of the inherent dignity and value of every human life.
May this remind us that every life, from its very beginning, is precious to God and worthy of protection.
EARN TRUST…Trust is everything in life. And Trust is born out of values, consistency and integrity. I will never abuse or betray the people’s trust. Earn trust. Good afternoon!
For fifteen years, our departed leader, the Right Honourable Raila Amollo Odinga, served the people of Langata Constituency with unwavering dedication and distinction as their Member of Parliament.
During this time, he was a tireless champion of justice, democracy, and progress — playing a pivotal role in shaping some of the most consequential laws in our Republic’s history, most notably the passage of the 2010 Constitution during his tenure as Kenya’s Prime Minister.
It is, therefore, most fitting that he lies-in-state at the August House, granting the three arms of Government - Executive, Parliament and the Judiciary - and the nation a solemn moment to honour, with reverence and gratitude, the life and legacy of a true patriot and statesman.
Being rich doesn’t mean God is blessing you. Being poor doesn’t mean He’s punishing you.
Having a huge platform doesn’t mean God approves of your message. Having no platform doesn’t mean He doesn’t.
Truth isn’t proven by money, followers, or fame. It’s proven by truth, logic, and Scripture.
