A busy day yesterday in my role as Mayor for Welwyn Hatfield. Chinese Delagation to Campus East in the morning from Beijing and Shanghai. Then at Anson Court Care Home for musical entertainment followed by a visit to Oak View Care Home for residents 100th Birthday party.

Popped in to look at the plans for Splashlands earlier on. Really impressed and loved the Pirate Ship. It will be a wonderful place for families to have a day out in our Borough!
Wonderful launch of the new exhibition last night at Mill Green Museum. Students from the University were there to show their designs that are on display. Well done to everyone to bring this all together.

I would like to join my colleagues in expressing huge sadness at the loss of Mandy. It came as a huge shock yesterday to hear of her death. Mandy worked tirelessly for residents, the Borough Council and we will all miss her a great deal. My thoughts are with David and her family.
