I haven't been a guest on BFBS since 1991 when #Radio1 broadcast from HMS Tamar in Hong Kong!
Such a pleasure talking about #SteveWright's extraordinary legacy today with Richard Hatch on the BFBS Afternoon show.
My book about him is on Amazon

WORLD RECORD MAKERS 🏅
After 72 days and 10 hours on the water, the @RevivalOcean team have just made history to become the first crew in a traditional ocean rowing boat to row across the Indian Ocean from mainland to mainland, setting off in May from Geraldton, Australia and making landfall on Friday in Kilifi, Kenya. No engine, no sail and no support - just four rowers with a joint ambition. 🙌
Led by Royal Marine Matt Mason, the team have overcome storms, a capsize at night - that broke equipment and lacerated a crew member’s face - sores, injuries and exhaustion.
And their boat - No Great Shakes - is now the only rowing boat on the planet to have crossed four of Earth’s oceans - Atlantic, Pacific, Arctic and now the Indian. 🚣♂️
Well done to the team! 👏

@Fearnecotton Hi Fearne I was just reading an article about you talking about feeling like a terrible parent ! We spoke many years ago when we did a show together on radio 1 and BFBS in Afghanistan. Wondered whether you fancied a chat about your book. Hope you are okay. Best R
@MarkUrban01 Hi Mark we’ve spoken a few times before about a couple of your previous books. I would love to get your thoughts about developments in the Middle East at the moment onto my radio show tomorrow on BFBS. Please DM me your number if you’re interested.
