I'm proud to have made Tower Hamlets Council the first in the country to introduce free school meals for all pupils aged 4-16.

This #NationalSchoolMealsWeek I'm calling on the national government to fund universal free school meals everywhere so no child goes hungry at school.

I'm delighted with the launch of our two new youth centres in Tower Hamlets this week, located in Bigland Green (Shadwell) and Christian Street (Whitechapel).

It represents just part of the £13.7 million invested in youth provisions ever year.
