Avalanches in the US have killed 15 people in the last week. That's the highest toll over a 7-day period in more than 100 years. Thank you to our fellow Mountain Rescue teams who went to help. Our thoughts are with everyone who was impacted.
Fifteen people have been killed in avalanches across the U.S. since Jan. 30, according to @COAvalancheInfo. This is the highest number of avalanche fatalities for recreational users ever recorded over a single week in the U.S. "Know Before You Go"

Please, this isn’t a time to be thinking of yourself. Think big-picture and about how your actions might affect others. A LOT of others. Stay close to home, stay safe and well. https://t.co/GJBUmRvlC6
Fellow Outdoor Enthusiasts - In this time of COVID-19, if you get out for some fresh air, follow your local government’s guidelines, the CDC’s recommendations, stay in your local community, avoid locations with other recreationalists, and choose challenges to decrease your risk.

We sent a team in Saturday to help with the search, but unfortunately, were unable to get to them due to avalanche concerns. We've got new teams headed back Monday morning to continue helping and are hoping the conditions will have improved by then. https://t.co/xru1A76JSO
SMR was called out at 530 this morning to help a climbing party that got stuck late last night on Mount Thomson. Teams were inserted via helicopter and then successfully located the climbers/helped them get off the route. @KCSAR@kingcosoPIO@KCSOAirsupport
