I swear to God, the first thing I said today when I heard about the US drone strike was “they probably just murdered a bunch of innocent people”.
Unfortunately I was right. The US killed 9 civilians today including 6 children. A sick, evil empire.

The @guardian describing this proposal as “using prisoners to ease labor shortages” instead of “choosing slave labor over wage increases” is not a matter of responsible objectivity but rather of conscious editorial choice.
Every sporting event consistently chooses the quick money over long term growth. Every time. It's such short term thinking. Olympics will become an obscurity if more of it goes behind a paywall.
It’s always “ask the people that live there how they feel” until the people that live their show up to support their government against reactionaries and imperial aggression. Then it’s “the state forces people to do this!” Literally every time. Tiresome.
For all the condemnation of anonymous trolls, this is what is being said by an elected member of government. Seems like the real problem in the UK is a governing party who openly pour gas on the flames of racism and "KeEp poLiTIcs oUt oF FOotBaLl" whilst covered in England flags.
I'm feeling so many different emotions this morning. Pride for that young team, sad at how we lost, disappointed in the second half tactics, absolute boiling anger at the racist abusers and their enablers, embarrassed at the behaviour of some "fans" on our streets.
