Pixels After Dark was my favorite event of Tech Week. Machines learning to act, artists making work in the room, and a question I keep returning to: who gets to tell the story?
A field film about community and becoming the author of my own work. @SimularAI
Photography: Katy Shayne. Motion: Wan 2.2 + LightX2V / ComfyUI on @vast_ai. Blender planning; Codex + FFmpeg assembly. Piano: Kevin MacLeod, after Satie (CC BY 4.0). Poem, film and full credits: https://t.co/ktr3JWng6F
Coffee, poem 14. My photographs with Katy Shayne became a small film: spilling coffee, stretching cotton candy, a curtain into another room. My poem, my voice, Wan animation. This is my favorite of our poetry-film attempts so far.
We left an AI security event and got stopped by physical security. The backpack stayed outside. The work laptop came to see Tiesto and The Chainsmokers.
Vanta to Cloudflare at Oracle Park, with Chris. A little night out.
@iamvishal16_ios The doors have to lead somewhere worth visiting. I’m putting the films, poems and production notes into their own rooms, so the click-through matters as much as the homepage.
I wanted a home for the things I keep making. Films from events, poetry, little worlds.
Rebuilt https://t.co/eSyHfOdHhj with Codex. My face inside my p(om), with a few doors to open.
And https://t.co/wfwPdneZlq is live now too. Still building. Kind of can't stop.
my best results so far are coming from ComfyUI and Wan. i’m bootstrapping, so now i’m exploring free motion tests in Blender. i feel cheap sometimes, but i also feel like i’m starting to crack something.
@OvermindLab@chrisstarrai Thank you @sambrunty@TylerEdwas and Frankie Wilson for the night, and Joey Mucha for this wonderful space. Chris got to play beside a three-time national champion.
Joey’s story: https://t.co/WiimAYVFzC
Chris and I went out to play. @OvermindLab brought the neighborhood together at Joey the Cat. Small models, a skee-ball champion, and a bad pitch that wandered into my poetry film.
Thanks for the night. Rooting for this team 🧡 @chrisstarrai
Also lovely seeing @thedotmack again. His waveform-editing tip made it into this film. Thank you, Alex / @Claude_Memory.
Visual inspiration: @OvermindLab’s ad and X artwork, with the identity by @newgenrestudio. Small models, open source, and more making.
@ceo_xyz@GeminiApp I’m running into identity drift in my storyboard too. The part about rewriting detailed prompts feels familiar. Have you found a way to tell when another attempt is worth it, or when to change the workflow?
I’m fighting identity drift in my storyboard. I want to change the shot and keep the person, but revisions keep giving me somebody else.
For people making AI films: what actually holds up across angles, lighting and expressions?
@clemissima SF has a bunch of ppl that went to “elite” schools but that doesn’t really make anyone “special” here so they need this kinda intellectual dribble to seem “cool” which they are not nor will ever be
@098uyiubgvgcss@tricalt Thanks, that makes sense for keeping the source traceable. I’m also wondering what happens to the old memory when the code changes. Does it stay available as history, or get replaced?
Thank you SEAMATE × Linkloud, media co-host What’s Next | Tech Briefing, and event partners @Subotiz_AI@LiberNovo@walnutai_ for bringing everyone together.

A World Worth Entering. Sunday at Builder Odyssey with @chrisstarrai.
AI video, short drama, and the poetry films I’m making while building https://t.co/wfwPdneZlq. Thank you @jfischoff, @zylberstein, Zizhao Yu and Richard Xu for the conversation. My field film from the day.
