Breaking: Microsoft is down. Several services are completely offline due to DNS issues.
Microsoft is battling a major, ongoing outage now traced to an Azure Front Door (AFD) configuration change.
The disruption began around 16:00 UTC and is knocking some Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 services offline worldwide except Copilot.
Microsoft's status page, documentation, and several services are completely offline.
Microsoft says it’s reviewing service telemetry to confirm the trigger and speed up restoration.
Today’s incident follows last week’s large AWS outage tied to DNS problems, which shows how configuration or DNS issues at major cloud platforms can ripple across the internet within minutes.
@AzureSupport Guys, it's not just the Azure Portal. Web applications are down as well. It seems a problem with FrontDoor, or DNS. And it's GLOBAL! I've checked with Multiple Customers. Please, keep the status portal updated. It's our guide through an outage. #Azure
