Heartbreaking news out of South Florida: 44-year-old Haitian woman Marie Ange Blaise has died while in ICE custody at the Broward Transitional Center in Pompano Beach. She had reportedly complained of chest pains and was given medication before her condition worsened.
Her death, which occurred on April 25, is under investigation and has sparked renewed concerns about the treatment of Haitian migrants and the conditions inside U.S. detention centers.
Blaise is the third reported ICE-related death in South Florida since January. Haitian advocates are demanding transparency, accountability, and better protection for those in custody.

Some* people are out here quarreling about their woes of an alleged culture war while companies with more money than we can fathom plan to buy up micro-reactors to power more and more tech that may or may not screw us.
...who profits from our battles?
Being as close to your authenticity as possible is necessary now more than ever.
We already question what's real among ourselves and AI complicates that even more.
Doubt and tech aren't going anywhere, but where your mind goes can always shift 👏🏾🙏🏾☮️

To ignore our shared reality and dismiss the embracing of others as "DEI" tactics shows that the one saying such is not grasping the point...
But in order to grasp it, one's worldview has to have room for such an idea in the first place.
I have a running theory that anyone who is a genuine asshole is that way because they lack quality affection and relationships in life
Whether it's the bond with a parent, a sibling, a friend or a lover... it must not, or they may not, be healthy and fulfilling.
Everything that goes wrong is just an opportunity to practice a virtue. One obstacle gives you a chance to practice controlling your temper. Another perseverance. Another chance to take a long walk through the park. There is always something you can—and need to—practice on.
You know someone needs to work on themselves when your actions or words dispel an assumption they made about you and they look at YOU as some kind of trickster...
You're clinging to those guesses like a cliff. Let's slow down, buddy
Creating art and promoting it along with other ventures in these times can seem nonsensical.
We gotta remember that for some, creating is a calling and now more than ever, it's both a method of coping and a form of rebelling against a world that wants certain voices silenced.
