I’m getting increasingly worried that there’s no ROI in AI.

Yes, it replaces human effort and speeds up work, but it isn’t delivering more revenue.

But here’s the thing…

Human skills are deteriorating.

The AI labs don’t need to outperform humans, they just need to make us dependent.

Once they’ve achieved that, ROI doesn’t matter. AI will be viewed more like electricity: not optional.

But it’s more sinister than that. Once we’re hooked, the dealers can charge whatever they want.

And they’ll have to in order to justify this capex cycle.

I would say become a T shaped Developer, so you have mastery in one and broad idea of other technologies as well.

Like expert in backend but you have enough understanding in Frontend, Database and Cloud deployment.

Then understand the flow or how each part communicates.

So they won't publicly admit they need them.

Also software engineers are not gonna die they will stay, but you'll need very few of them.

Every few weeks a new model arrives and people start chasing them like there is no model built like that, ChatGPT launches you go there then Gemini and so on.

Instead choose these two models, Claude and ChatGPT you won't regret.

They are one of the best coding models.

AGI is no joke, it will take 2030 beyond to reach AGI.

The biggest mistake is thinking AI replaces engineers.

The real shift is that engineers with AI will replace engineers without AI.

The future isn’t fewer builders.

It’s supercharged builders.
