Ultima Thule also sucked bc the aether was so thin and he felt kind of like he was coming apart at the seams, just like rly aether rich environments make him feel Terrible aether lacking environments do too, it's a careful balance to keep his body in equilibrium
Larks echo gives him expanded aetheric capacity, which makes him a Very powerful caster bc he can take in terrifying amounts of aether and shove it back out into spells, but this does come with the downside of violent aethersickness and heightened aether sensitivity
Woke up thinking about echos so
#wolqotd what kind of Echo ability does your Wol have that is unique to them, if at all? Did they have to get used to it or did it come naturally to them?
He takes meds to keep flares to a minimum, the first time he got truly ill was after the second lakshmi fight having to absorb all the thrall balls, and afterwards the aethersickness became chronic and smth he has to manage. Shb was um. Well. He was rly sick p much the whole time
@MyBlueOtter (if you're curious, the people I went 'no, actually u get to live' to are:
Haurchefant, of course (ask me about larks bad ending!)
Ysayle
Minfilia
and the justifications range from 'fairly believable' to 'unhinged but I'll allow it')
This is a hard question to answer bc I, the writer, have reversed several npc deaths already bc I believe in canonbreaking to the desired extremes, so all the obvious answers r out. Honestly, it'd probably be papalymo, lark didn't know him very well but he meant a lot to lyse+
Oh, I just had a thought
#wolqotd
If your WoL had the opprotunity to revive one of any of their former fallen allies (or, perhaps, even antagonists) would they? And if so, who? 🤔
+and his co-wols (@MyBlueOtter's ocs!), and he has Some Opinions on self sacrifice. Most of what lark does he does for his friends, and he'd want papalymo to be able to see how well lyse and murleth and grestle are doing, and how much the scions have been able to accomplish
