@cmisbackagain@IrishTimes I cancelled it and never looked back after the sensational/rhetorical piece a few years ago about men/women violence, I can’t even specify their claims they were so outrageous
@Rabblewthacause@slimvnsn I dunno where you grew up, seems like a risky environment, where I grew up which was somewhat rural, this was the norm, and when communities were more cohesive, life was better, though in your case I’m sure your concern was well founded though in a lot of other environments fine
@Independent_ie Surprised she would back down. Complex topic. Poc consultants shouldn’t be able to work privately during public hours or it undermines contract. if one hospital ignores rules rest will follow. However women are entitled to access private obstetric care and they can’t otherwise
@Toibin1 There would be literally no downside to her saying, I don’t agree with that kind of material being recommended to minors and will look into it
Artificial intelligences do not undergo experiences, do not possess a body, do not feel joy or pain, do not mature through relationships, and do not know from within what love, work, friendship or responsibility mean. Nor do they have a moral conscience, since they do not judge good and evil, grasp the ultimate meaning of situations, or bear responsibility for consequences. They may imitate or even simulate, but they do not understand what they produce, for they lack the affective, relational, and spiritual perspective through which human beings grow in wisdom. #MagnificaHumanitas
@nypost He should have apologised immediately when she proved what he was saying was incorrect, he panicked and scrambled, and she was nice about it, but he should have apologised
