We need to stop pretending the movies were perfect adaptations. They sucked in a lot of ways.

Just to list a few things they fucked up off the top of my head:

-Ruined Ron in favor of Hermione
-Ginny was not Ginny
-Made HBP a comedy when it should have been the second or third darkest film
-Removed all the mystery aspects from GOF when it was written as a mystery book
-Removed almost all of the Voldemort memories (one of the most important parts of the main villain)
-Didn’t get the Quidditch World Cup
-Missed 80% of Quidditch games at Hogwarts
-Made those who haven’t read the books want Harry & Hermione together (Have Steve Kloves to thank for that)
-Took away Grindelwald’s redemption in favor of making him tell Voldemort to kill Dumbledore instead
-Completely changed Sirius’s character in OOTP

And I could list 50 other things that they didn’t have time to cover, and I’ll probably think of another 20 things they messed up if I actually sit down and think about it. The movies were great, but let’s not pretend they’re perfect.

@FatherReturneth @TaoZamani @The_Chidimma When you say "justify", do you mean she's implying that the pros (which I agree are true) of having a baby in your 40's outweigh the cons?
Maybe it's just her silver lining in a probably riskier pregnancy.

No recomiendo nada los productos de @Mitsubishi_ES. Una máquina de bomba de calor de 2000 euros instalada hace un año, con fallos, con una incidencia abierta desde el 19 de noviembre y tengo que estar encima de ellos para hacerle seguimiento. Tiempos lentisimos y pésima gestión.

Y sobre los niños: cuando son pequeños *necesitan* a los padres encima, y esa dependencia se reduce sola con el crecimiento.

@AdrianSussudio @juanrallo Ok, pero, ¿qué hay de la relación que un padre tiene con su hijo? Eso no creo que se estudie porque es algo muy difícil de medir y calificar.
Y aunque no sea determinante para el éxito del hijo en la vida o sus gustos, etc, la relación es muy importante también(al menos para mí)

And you’re weirdly trying to blame it on historic male biology.

But you just suck as a father. You’re prob looking for validation from others here - but I won’t give it to you.

You have an opportunity- if not an obligation, to show and teach your kid about the world, develop new skills in them, share experiences, mold them to become better than you. Literally strengthen your bloodline.

And you’re squandering it. Fatherhood clearly isn’t for you.

You’re not a monster. You just suck at being a dad.

You should fix it. Or leave.
