@EMS1 Unfortunately this is a bandaid we are all using- raising overall rates so that commercial insurance slightly offsets the abysmally low payments allowed by Medicare and Medicaid.
@hp_ems@MattZavadsky EMS in the US, is a fractured system with so many differing delivery models. Proper dispatch triage, safe response, accurate assessment and management, safe transport to the appropriate facility (not just the ED), and better follow up are crucial. QA/QI integration for all steps
@jemsconnect BWCs have a myriad of benefits- accountability, complaint management, telehealth, safety, the list goes on.
I can appreciate the concerns of “micromanagement,” but the folks who would use it that way are already micromanaging now. Promote folks with the right skills and training
@hp_ems This should be the common practice for all fire and EMS agencies across the country. Running code to and from all calls for service isn’t safe for the crew, the public, or the patient.
