I think now is a good time to point this out.

Many of the men in "to catch a predator" never got charged with a crime despite all the messages.

20,000 child predators from around the world contacted "sweetie" the CGI child under the impression she was a real 10 year old. 1000 were reported to the police. Out of 46 arrests, I only found 1 actual conviction as a result of that operation. "sweetie will never be used again"
I could flood this post with examples. The law in most countries does not take flirtatious or inappropriate messages very seriously.

Messages alone do not usually lead to a conviction. People really overestimate their legal system honestly.
