Judges often say stupid shit like “they don’t want it to ruin a young man’s life” & give them a few months probation or say the punishment of the trial was enough. It’s extremely depressing & why many survivors don’t report

Rapists are able to plead to a lesser charge & not do jail time or become a sex offender in many cases. Also the “falsely accused” statistic includes people who recant their (true) accusation out of fear
