Before today's feast ends, remember this beautiful story...

A childless couple prayed for years for children. God seemed silent.

Instead of becoming bitter, they entrusted everything they had to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Their home became the site of the miraculous August snowfall that led to the building of St. Mary Major, the oldest Marian basilica in the West. Centuries later, the Holy Crib of the Infant Jesus was placed there.

God's answer wasn't "no."

It was something so much greater than they could have imagined.

Sometimes we think God has forgotten us because He hasn't answered our prayers the way we expected. But He may be preparing blessings beyond our ability to comprehend.

"What God has prepared for those who love Him has not entered into the heart of man."

In short that our highest allegiance is to the Will of the Father, not earthly relationships.
