TIMELINE – XUEFEI (霞飞) & LINGORM DISPUTE

1. July 3 – Dispute over Ling's entry schedule

The management company requested that Xuefei share Ling's China entry schedule with another footwear brand.
Xuefei refused because its schedule had been arranged first and it would be responsible for declaring the artist's work itinerary.

2. September 11–17 – Offline event approval

Xuefei submitted its offline event application on September 11 and received approval on September 17. Subsequently, allegations emerged that Orm had previously worked in Changsha without a work visa.
Xuefei verified the matter and obtained records showing that Orm had the required work-related documentation for all nine previous entries into mainland China.

3. September 16–24 – Issues identified with Ling's work documents

During the filing process for the Douyin livestream, Xuefei discovered that Ling's documents might not meet China's work requirements.
On September 24, the event application was returned for further review. Authorities informed the brand that Ling had previously been involved in work activities in June 2026 that were stopped following police intervention due to documentation concerns.

4. October 1–12 – Repeated delays in providing documents

The management company repeatedly promised to provide the required documents but requested extensions from October 1 to October 8, and subsequently to October 12.
BEC committed to assuming full responsibility and refunding the entire ambassadorship fee if compliant documents were not provided by October 8.

5. October 14 – Orm's work permit approved

Orm's work permit for China was approved. Xuefei provided the permit and supporting application documents to the management company as a reference for completing Ling's paperwork.

6. October 15–20 – Xuefei announces information about Orm only

Authorities requested valid work documents for both artists. Since Xuefei only had Orm's valid documentation, it was forced to publish information concerning Orm alone.
By October 20, the brand had still not received Ling's required documents.

7. October 22 – Management company proposes the Home Return Permit

The management company stated that Ling still retained Hong Kong nationality and could use a Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents (Home Return Permit / 回乡证) as a work document.
However, it had only obtained the application receipt and promised to collect the actual document on October 28.
Xuefei requested a written undertaking to protect the brand's reputation but received no response.

8. October 23 – Request to change the event to a 1+1 format

The management company suddenly claimed that Chinese law prohibited two GL actresses from appearing on stage together and demanded that the event be changed to a 1+1 format.
Xuefei rejected this claim, stating that no such regulation existed and providing examples of other joint appearances by GL actresses under the same management company.

9. October 28 – Important information discovered on Ling's document

The management company provided a photo of Ling's newly issued Home Return Permit. The document showed a replacement issuance count of 3, confirming that Ling had previously held this type of document, contradicting the earlier explanation that this was the first application.
Xuefei requested an explanation as to why the document had not been properly used during Ling's previous work-related entries into China.

10. After October 28 – Further delays

According to Xuefei, the management company continued to delay the process using various reasons, including requests for materials that the brand had already committed to keeping confidential and not disclosing externally to the relevant authorities.
