Esta diputada es una mentirosa. El proyecto no busca regular nada; es de corte totalmente prohibicionista.

No arregla nada, no mejora nada, no ordena nada y su impacto en el crimen va a ser cero. Además, no existe un bien más regulado que las armas legales en Costa Rica: hay trazabilidad total desde que se importan hasta que se venden. Incluso la munición está sujeta a control total.

Eso sin tomar en cuenta que las “armas autónomas” no es un concepto que exista en el mundo real. Más bien, eso demuestra claramente que la diputada quiere legislar sobre un tema que desconoce.

“Regular” es la palabra que los prohibicionistas llevan décadas usando en lugar de “prohibir”, con el objetivo de confundir a la opinión pública.

También cabe destacar que en esas mesas de trabajo no había un solo experto en armas de fuego. No invitaron a ninguna asociación de tiro deportivo, ni a ningún representante del sector de tenedores legales de armas. ¿Adivinen a quién sí invitaron? A la Fundación Arias para la “Paz”, una organización que dentro de sus objetivos promueve la prohibición total de las armas de fuego en el país. Para los civiles, claramente; porque para los criminales todo sigue igual.

¿Saben por qué estos diputados mienten tan descaradamente? Porque, literalmente, creen que los costarricenses somos tontos y que nos vamos a creer esas habladas.
