This morning he sat with Founder & CEO of Clear Minds, Better Livez (@cmblivez) Wanjiru Karanja. A non profit organization that aims to shed a light on Mental Health Awareness within the African Immigrants, African Diaspora & Brown Communities globally

growing up in a household where our emotions weren’t discussed has made me value true presence and communication immensely as an adult. from all relationships, platonic & romantic.
Will you disappoint people on the journey of becoming your authentic self? Yes. Getting comfortable with disappointing people, rather than fawning or people pleasing is key in creating life on your own terms.
To start #AntiBullyingWeek, we want to remind you that being bullied is never your fault. Under any circumstances. We know how difficult it can be. Please reach out for help, talk to someone you trust and be gentle with yourself. The world is a better place with you in it.
The future of mental health care won’t be: “what’s wrong with you” or what disorder you’re diagnosed with. It will be: “what happened to you?” And, “that makes a lot of sense that you feel that way.”
The more you practice gratitude, the more grateful you become.
The more you practice relaxation, the more relaxed you become.
The more you practice mindfulness, the more mindful you become.
You become what you practice.
It's truly that simple.
