@BlueJays Fluharty and Fisher should already be ahead of Hoffman on the leverage rankings. They can't continue to put Hoffman in save situations. He falls apart as soon as something goes wrong.
@dabearsblog The McKaseys need to sell the team. Chicago deserves a real owner. They are just not rich enough for the modern nfl. A legitimate 21st Century owner could skip all this political nonsense and just build a stadium themselves. The CHICAGO BEARS shouldn't even think about Indiana.
@ErikLambert1 The McKaseys need to sell. They aren't rich enough for the modern nfl. They need public money to build a stadium. A real wealthy owner could skip all this madness and just build it themselves. They can't go to Indiana! This is embarrassing.
@tmlfaninvan You can't bring in a numbers guy and keep the coach whose team had terrible numbers in both off his seasons. Crazy good goaltending made 24-25 look better than it actually was. The Leafs too often looked like a team without a plan. #Berubeout
@TSN_Sports What was he not given as a Maple Leaf? He was a top paid player on a perennial contender. He was idolized by fans. We just wanted him (and the others) to live up to the contracts they were given when it mattered the most. You don’t get paid that much without there being pressure.
@TSN_Sports I’ll give him credit for what he is doing this season in the playoffs. However, that doesn’t change the past’s lack of production. An apology perhaps is warranted for him being the most criticized but it was mostly referred to as a Core Four failure.
@JohnnyGiunta_@tmlfaninvan I guess the only thing I can think about is that winning on the ice is far more important than winning the introductory press conference. It's a baffling hire based on the past but everyone agrees that Chayka is really smart. Hopefully he learned from that experience in Arizona.
@Owen_Bard_Clips@ErikLambert1 There are way too many "analysts" now too. I just saw something that reported that teams were told Thomas was going to go in the 3rd round so the experts didn't know the real value teams saw in him.
@Owen_Bard_Clips@ErikLambert1 You could be right. As an average fan, I don't know most of these guys and just rely on the "pros" to tell us about them. Having an instant grade after the draft is pretty ridiculous but we often fall for it.
@tmlfaninvan That’s totally a flawed metric. Only 1 gm in nhl history has won a Stanley Cup with more than 1 team and that was in the 30’s. It’s rare that coaches win with more than 1 team too. Obviously, that doesn’t mean it can’t happen but it’s not a magical formula.
@ErikLambert1 Mitch is up there due to what Mahomes has done since. Like Rodgers, there’s no guarantee he develops the same in Chicago but that’s a huge difference. Watson even made more sense than Trubisky. I saw a few UNC games and he certainly didn’t look special to me.
