After all these years, how is Microsoft Powerpoint still the presentation standard? It is by far the least intuitive builder of anything that exists today. I spend 98% of the time googling how to perform what should be standard actions versus actually creating a presentation.

Designers, this is news.

Recently, someone asked @heyirfanaziz for an alternative to Mobbin (since it's getting $$$)... and he created this magic.

We are not meant to carry the weight of life alone. We are to care for ourselves first so we can carry one another—using our strengths when those around us are weak and in need of help. Our future depends on us seeking the help we need and offering it to others whenever we can.

Heartbroken by the tragic news from my hometown of #Duxbury. This happened about 1000 ft from the home I grew up in, and where my mom still lives today. We are in a collective worldly crisis of unaddressed mental unwellness. Mass shootings, murders, suicide, record homelessness,

effects of a society fractured and removed from one another due to a public health crisis, but the aftermath is arguably a bigger health crisis. Everyone deserves access to the mental health and wellness care they need. Everyone needs help at different times and seasons.

I fear the Adobe pricing model will squelch the easy adoption of Figma and all the incredible plugins and community assets that users the world over have worked to provide the platform.

[claire nichols @cmcp621]

Feeling very mixed emotions about the @adobe / @figma acquisition. For the last 15 years, I’ve been a mostly exclusive Adobe designer, until the last month in my new role with Figma. Adobe’s systems are undoubtedly robust but have for too long siloed individual designers,

the viability of a design/dev effort. I can’t fathom going back to segmented, siloed workstreams that swallow precious time and money. Also, I might’ve stumbled into design much earlier had the software not been as costly.

Trying to remember nursery rhymes to sing to my daughter and find myself singing Jack Black’s version of Mary had a Little Lamb from School of Rock, in which Mary loses her job. Is this peak #millennial?
