Liking the levels on USDJPY as well. What do u think about this take? Read it in the FT:

"Analysts noted that the two dissenting voters on the board were both appointed by Japan’s Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, who favours reflationary government spending and has in the past been critical of tighter monetary policy.  Marcel Thieliant, head of Asia-Pacific at Capital Economics, said that “with the two most hawkish board members set to depart next July, the composition of the board will probably become even more dovish”."

That's how I used to do things before discovering these skills. The old plan mode -> build loop. Each step is smaller but keeps me much more in the loop. That's actually the most success I've had with agentic coding.

These massive wayfinder maps and grill -> specs just go way off course and overbuild. Maybe @mattpocockuk can share some wisdom here.

Also I'm not a professional software engineer, more a hobbyist that can code. So I find some of the grill interview questions are hard for me to understand. In particular if I just go along with their recommendations, u end up with a mess.

I'm finding the grill / wayfinder sessions are really overcomplicating things vs a standard plan mode. In particular, it seems the extensive grilling is surfacing all sorts of edge cases and rare situations that it tries to handle right away. Have been wrestling with it lately and the complexity of the initial solution means I have yet been able to do anything productive yet. Pretty much did a reboot of my project with wayfinder last night, but the initial plan was again too "sophisticated".

Any tips on this? Note I'm not a software engineer.

@mattpocockuk I think this is a fantastic idea. I'm not a software engineer (but I can code). I do find myself getting lost in my projects now with the speed my agent writes code.

Before using ur skills, I would go into plan mode (with the smartest model), work on the plan, then go to a cheaper mode to implement it.

Would you do this with ur workflow?

1) Use plan vs agent mode and / or
2) Use a cheaper / dumber agent for certain steps. Maybe the /implement skill?
