"I don't want major media ... to just ruin the watching of college football for me by exaggerating THE HELL OUT OF EVERYTHING."
Ladies and gentlemen, Michael Wilbon:
@ZigsOnTheBid I have issue with wide monitors. Can’t figure out to how to adjust to have multi chart in a chartbook without everything being too small. Using resolution 2560x1440.
I remember talking to my dad a couple of years after I started trading full time. I was 23, a member of CME, but I was broke, in debt, and anxiety was surfacing. I really had no personal life because I was looking at charts 24/7 and had no money. He asked me if enough was enough and if I was ready to get a real job.
I said, 'I have a real job, dad. I'm a trader.'
He said, 'Son, if it’s a job, you have to start making money so you can start living your life. Quit letting this job get the best of you and figure it out.'
To this day, I will never forget that simple advice. It made me realize that as hard as I was trying, I hadn’t realized the task of become a professional trader was more than just finding a winning strategy.
I was vulnerable on an emotional level, and I was not protecting my account. I was just trying to make money, not thinking about how to keep my money and run my trading as a business.
Making money is only one aspect of doing this for a living. We have expenses, bills, insurance, taxes, and with all of that, we have to figure out how to have a personal life as well.
Many think that trading is just about making money, but it’s so much more. It’s one reason why most fail; they fail to figure it all out.
Many can make money but not balance their life, pay bills, and grow their wealth too.
Trading is a journey of oneself. If you really want it as a career, you can figure it out, but you have to figure it all out to make it a successful career. 🙏🏼💪🏼❤️
