@chrislhayes I’m teaching middle school band remotely. It’s actually kind of working, but looks very different. Self-driven learners are thriving, as they do in normal school. Students who struggle also struggled last year, but parents see it now.

Some things I have actually whispered to theatergoers who whip out their phones near me in the audience:
"Turn it off or give it to me."
"Are you a doctor? So can you shut it the f***off please?
"You're lighting up your whole f***king face and no one paid to see that."
😊
Apparently learning styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) are a myth! As an educator, I took the assumption for granted and never even thought to google it. Thanks @SkepticsGuide#SkepticsGuide

(Sorry to meme you, Paul. Unless you aren't planning on voting. Then DM me, thanks)

Sometimes the heavens part and all the bad kids are absent in one class. Then sometimes all the good kids are absent and it’s an hour of pure torture and distraction and you just hope no one dies or destroys anything before music class is over. #tgif
Last week: “Best 4th grade class gets picked to sing at the assembly!”
Today: “please just get through the song without laughing and rolling around on the floor”
