PPS shows overall improvement in 2024 RIDE accountability results. The district also decreased the number of schools designated as RI’s lowest performers from 11 to nine.
Calling 2 schools improving in 5 years a success? That’s a major failure!

Two years ago, I joined @StephMachado on @wpri12 Pulse of Providence to share my input on the takeover. I gave @RIDeptEd two years to produce results. Now, two years later, we've seen slight gains. It's time for @pvdschools to return to the PVD School Board in its full capacity.
Commissioner @AInfanteGreen made her first veto to the School Board on May 1st since taking over the @pvdschools District back in 2020. This is the first time she has ever vetoed us on a personal decision. Sure looks like retaliation to me, but none of my business.🤷🏾♂️ @RIDeptEd
I call for RIDOT Director Peter Alviti to step down. In the past 8 years he has spent $4,478,130,213 and RI remains 48th in the condition of our roads and bridges. How can we spend $4.5 billion, still have lousy roads and have to shut down the most important bridge in our state? The Washington Bridge closure, which is crippling our state's economy, is his failure. Now it has become RI's costly burden. Enough! He must go!!!!
@RIDeptEd@AInfanteGreen@PVDMayor@pvdschools@DanMcKeeRI Shame on you! You say that students come first and that their soc/emot health is important and then remove all guidance and behavior therapists from schools. @PTU958 How is this supposed to help Ss?
Angelica Infante-Green has failed our schools, our students, our families. It's time for her to go. We need accountability and reform now. Press release below. 👇🏿
Two members of the Providence School Board are calling on the Attorney General's office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to investigate the recent award of a $72 million contract by the Providence Public School Department (PPSD).
Providence School Board received a lengthy & anonymous “from eight district-level leaders” that raised complaints about Joan Jackson, claiming that she “has created a work environment that eight district-level leaders consider intimidating, hostile and abusive.” #TBT
@asf_school the only neighborhood school closed where 72% of the were walkers. And today neighborhood families just received their kids from the bus at 6:04pm. 🤦♀️
Commissioner Angélica Infante-Green names Craig Creller as Transformation Officer for High Schools. Mr. Creller comes PPSD with a checkered past in Connecticut where he was ousted as superintendent.
