The official story of alpha-gal syndrome is tidy. A lone star tick bites you, and months later you can no longer eat red meat. Tidy stories should make you suspicious. Here is what the tidy version leaves out. 🧵
This image is like those memes from 2016 of Trump crossing the Delaware with Washington on a tank playing an electric guitar or whatever, except this photo is real.
It's hard to overstate how much of an outlier California is for its slow vote-counting relative to literally any other state or almost any other industrialized democracy.
It's been pointed out for years that while many large and relatively poor countries count all votes the same night as the election, California takes weeks or months. It's a choice to do that.
And of course it will lead to rational suspicions about the integrity of the result:
California's SB 54 forces venture capital firms to collect information from their founders about their race, ethnicity, gender identity, and sexual orientation — then report it all for the State to publish. We’re representing @1517fund in a lawsuit to stop it.
BREAKING: Honolulu is charging 83-year-old retiree Sandra May with $600,000 in fines over a website error. The City put a lien on her home and cut off her access to basic city services. Today, we filed suit to stop these excessive fines.

This is the crucial point. People who equate “artificial intelligence” with true intelligence simply misunderstand what the intellect is and does.
The Forest Service banned road construction across 60 million acres of national forest, but it’s Congress's responsibility to determine how the US uses federal lands.
Today PLF’s Mark Miller testified before the House Committee on Natural Resources about the Roadless Rule.
The United States has:
• 683,000+ heart disease deaths/year
• 620,000+ cancer deaths/year
• 250,000+ estimated deaths from medical error
Yet public health officials are running national fear campaigns about backyard chickens, raw milk, pet turtles, and hantavirus.
That is not rational public health prioritization.
That is theater.
Washington State has moved from one of the most affordable states to the 4th least affordable over the past two decades.
The primary reason: Progressive policies are inflationary. Good people can make the case that all the inflation that comes from these progressive policies is worth it, but at least have the courtesy of showing your work.
Let's look at housing. In 2023, the Seattle Auditor's office surveyed housing providers to explore why they'd stopped offering rental housing.
74% of landlords surveyed said Seattle's laws are too burdensome or difficult.
But what was said in the free-form "Anything else you'd like to add" survey was even more amazing:

"A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of." - Jesus (see Luke 6:45)
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt kicked off the city's mayoral debate in a heated exchange on Wednesday after Pratt called Bass "an incredible liar," and claimed she misguided Angelenos about the facts of the Palisades Fire when it broke out last year.
CBS News' @JonVigliotti, who has been closely reporting on and investigating the blaze for over a year, fact checked two key moments from the debate.
Bryan, getting “Tdap because Kate’s family has a newborn” is contrary to the evidence. This is because those vaccinated for pertussis are more likely to spread this pathogen.
Why? Two reasons. First, those vaccinated are less likely to have symptoms if infected with the pertussis bacterium but the bacterium still multiplies in their nasopharynx and they then unknowingly spreading it to others (instead of showing symptoms and knowing to isolate). Not science fiction—the hard cold facts as detailed below.
Second, and this makes the reality even worse, because after an unvaccinated person has been infected with pertussis (and is more likely to have symptoms and stay in bed) that person won’t get infected again for many years – but the vaccinated individual can become infected over, and over, and over again with the pertussis bacterium because of the defective immunity this vaccine generates.
If you don’t agree with the foregoing, take it up with the FDA, industry scientists, infectious diseases societies, and the hard cold data and studies:
- As the FDA explained in 2024: “aP [acellular pertussis] containing vaccines induce helper T cells (TH2) memory and neutralizing antibody responses that effectively prevent symptomatic disease but fail to prevent colonization and carriage.” https://t.co/7f46KJyVnb
- As those considered the world's leading pertussis vaccine experts, pharma consultants, and infectious disease societies explained in a consensus paper on pertussis vaccine in 2019: “Natural infection evokes both mucosal and systemic immune responses, while aPVs [acellular pertussis vaccines] induce only a systemic immune response. … Mucosal immunity is essential to prevent colonization and transmission of B. pertussis organisms.
- Consequently, preventive measures such as aPVs that do not induce a valid mucosal response can prevent disease but cannot avoid infection and transmission. … aPV pertussis vaccines do not prevent colonization. Consequently, they do not reduce the circulation of B. pertussis and do not exert any herd immunity effect.” https://t.co/nlLg6dr30h They also explained that: “Lack of mucosal immune responses after aPV administration favor infection, persistent colonization, and transmission of the pathogen.”
- Also see: https://t.co/oYIE4wacTu (“That vaccination does not prevent B. pertussis infection in humans, nor the circulation of the organism in human populations in any important manner, comes from the observation that the inter-epidemic intervals have not changed in a major way since the implementation of mass vaccination.”); https://t.co/aleEKXMQL2 (“Because of linked-epitope suppression, all children who were primed by DTaP vaccines will be more susceptible to pertussis throughout their lifetimes, and there is no easy way to decrease this increased lifetime susceptibility.”)
- For a detailed discussion with many more citations and irrefutable evidence, see Chapter 9 of my book, Vaccines, Amen.
As for the rest of your post, appreciate your “Note” pointing out some of the potential confounders but there are more, including other confounders and data that reflect the reality may be the opposite of what these studies indicate. I appreciate, however, that you are trying to view them objectively. That said, I would welcome having you on my podcast to go through these studies and more!
It's actually not. The Court is supposed to interpret the law even when the result is unpopular. That's the whole point of having an independent judiciary.
You may not agree with blocking access to an abortion clinic, but a tally of political violence that counts those instances and not Charlie Kirk's assassination, that counts defacing an LGBT crosswalk but not entire neighborhoods in 2020, is not a data set; it's propaganda.
