If you won’t say Black Lives Matter, then you don’t mean it when you say All Lives Matter. Trans rights now and forever. Game programmer. Writer. Artist. he/his
I called my health insurance provider back because they had "important information about my medication". A robot answered and asked me if I was taking prozac. When I said yes, it told me that I was in charge of my feelings and never to feel alone.
They had a fucking robot do it.
@notsilentcal@MisterSandmanAU@sskywalkerr From this tweet, it’s clear you’re not qualified to speak with any authority on mental illness, and it seems you aren’t any better informed on trans issues. So the world will rightly continue to disregard you on these topics.
“What remained free of charge? Misinformation, propaganda, and lies.” Is this how we have found ourselves with so many citizens who don’t know what the truth is anymore? I need to read this book!
The Antifa myth is based on the notion that anything opposed to something must also be a mirror image of that thing.
And this is nonsense.
The opposite of white supremacist groups isn't another terrorist group.
The opposite is a citizenry with morals.
The Right would have you believe that Antifa is a particular group of people who can be identified and labeled a terrorist group.
This is to distract you from the fact that white supremacists groups actually ARE, and are recognized as such by Federal Law Enforcement.
Antifa is a unifying principle.
The idea of Antifa is that regardless of your particular demographics or party or ideologies, if fascism is a line too far, and you intend to resist it, you are anti-fascist.
"Fascism is unacceptable" as a banner.
"If there's no Antifa, then who are cops attacking and who is protesting white supremacists?"
Citizens.
People from local communities who have no desire to see those communities overrun by people advocating violent white supremacy.
That's literally it.
Thousands of Black protesters were on social media explaining that the police were working WITH white supremacists to frame Black protests as violent and therefore justify violent repression by police.
America didn't listen.
We are on our 6th hospital closure because Brian Kemp has refused to expand Medicaid, and at least 19 more are at risk of closing. This is not a policy difference. This is cruelty.
