The Clos de Londres, located at the end of the Château’s gardens, is a tiny vineyard and produces only 1500 bottles per vintage! Of a dashing red colour, the nose is of great nobility with notes of fresh cherry, balsamic and coffee. It's delicate, silky and fresh on the mouth.

In 1862, Philiberte Pommier, owner at the time of the Château du Moulin-à-Vent presented 8-year-old wines at the Universal Exhibiton in London and won the Gold Medal. This victory proves the aging potential of the Château's wines and anchors the notoriety of the AOC in history!

Veraison is when the grapes change color and turn bright purple. This stage occurs between 45 days and 1 month before the harvest. Over the next 30 days, the grapes will ripen under close supervision and harvest will start when the grapes have reached sufficient sugar levels.

The lieu-dit called 'Les Thorins' is one of the most recognized of the appellation. Historically, the wines of Thorins were so famous that the village of Romanèche became Romanèche-Thorins. Similarly, Gevrey became Gevrey-Chambertin and Vosne was transformed into Vosne-Romanée.

Our 2020 cuvées are almost all bottled. After 18 months of aging in steel vats and oak barrels, the wines are ready!
The 2020 vintage was sunny, dry and early: at the Château, harvesting began on August 17th! The wines are ripe, full-bodied and promise to age beautifully.

In our Clos de Londres...🌹
Millerandage is due to imperfect flower fertilization. The grapes are underdeveloped and remain small throughout the ripening cycle. Millerandage has a negative effect on the yield but doesn't alter (on the contrary!) the quality of the wines.🧐

When it's too tricky to maneuver the tractor amid our old vines, we adapt!🐴

Vito, Yago and Hippi are taking part in the decavallonnage of the vines, that is to say the plowing of the strip of land between the vines, in order to get soil which are healthier and full of life. 🐛

The soil is ready: time to plant our mass selection shoots. It's all about precision and straight lines as the vines are planted every 1m10 following rows spaced 90cm apart, i.e. 10,000 vines per hectare! Since everything is done by hand, fortunately the plots are small! 🤪

Leafing is well underway ! 🍃
Leaves and branches are growing as the vine resumes its photosynthetic activity. 🌱
HQ of chemical reactions, the leaf plays a central role in the life of the vine. 🔬
