The WNBA has always been a disgrace to America. So it’s no surprise that both the Atlanta Dream and the Golden State Valkyries walked off the court before the National Anthem was played ahead of Game 1 of the WNBA Finals on Saturday. That’s a deliberate choice to disrespect the flag and the country that made the WNBA league and the player salaries possible.
Players can protest on their own time. Leaving the court right before the anthem at the biggest stage of the season is a clear message. They don’t want to stand for the country they’re playing in.
The WNBA has spent years turning every event into politics. This walk-off is just the latest example of that pattern. The league keeps choosing activism over the game and then acts surprised when fans tune out.
The WNBA and both teams have stayed silent on why the players left the court. The silence says as much as the walk-off. If they had a real explanation they would’ve given it. They didn’t.
The stunt by the players is just the same boring disrespect for America that we’ve seen for many years by many supposed professional athletes who act like petulant children. It’s nothing new and nothing impressive.
This isn’t about free speech. It’s about athletes using a championship game to show contempt for the country paying them. Most fans are tired of it. The WNBA keeps making the same mistake and then wonders why the audience stays small.
The WNBA players who walked off on Saturday aren’t making America look bad. They’re only making themselves look bad. Their league and their careers will go nowhere as long as they put politics ahead of performance.

The WNBA intentionally decides not to enforce its own rules whenever it suits them.
Their rule book explicitly states that players must stand for the National Anthem!
It says, “players, coaches, and trainers are to stand and line up in a dignified posture along the sidelines or on the foul line during the playing of the National Anthem”!
What kind of a farce of a league intentionally won’t enforce its own rules?
Then again, they haven’t discovered that the “W” in WNBA stands for actual women!
Golden State Valkyries fans told other Valkyries fans to "kill themselves", for simply wearing XX-XY T-shirts.
But...But...But I thought the Indiana Fever fans were the only racist, nasty fans in the WNBA? 🤷♂️
"NO SPACE FOR HATE" Right???
@WNBA@WNBAComms@valkyries
First year I've watched the @WNBA, never again after last night. This is America, if you leave the court for our countries national anthem, then fuck off and eat shit you worthless pieces of fuck. You have no idea how good you have it in America. You are #worthless
The owners of the valkyries and dream have to be blamed for allowing this too. Jerry Jones didn't go for it and and had said "if any player didn't stand for the anthem they would not be playing for the Dallas Cowboys". With woke racist lesbian renee montgomery being part owner of the atlanta dream I know she goes along with this disgraceful disrespect bcuz she's a pos too
@POTUS 🔴 How long do we have to wait, to see Justice in America?
Have we not waited long enough already?
When will these rogue judges be arrested, convicted and sentenced to GITMO?
THEY CONTINUALLY PUT US ALL IN DANGER.
🚨 JUST IN: While France burns, Polish Member of European Parliament Dominik Tarczynski is WALKING THROUGH Krakow LATE at night, showing all of Europe it's PERFECTLY CALM
"Look how safe we are. Churches are safe. Because we did not let them in. Zero means zero. 'Be like Poland' means be brave." 🇵🇱🇺🇸
"We know what jihadists are capable of. We do not know what second or third generation of so-called refugees will do. Well, actually we do know... we can see what is happening in France."
There are no riots, no burning buildings and no police lines
Poland refused the EU's migrant relocation quotas, and the EU's top court ruled against it. Poland didn't budge!
In the same 24 hours, France's major streets and businesses are burning and being ransacked by leftists, Islamists and invaders
EVERY NATION CAN BE LIKE THIS. It's a matter of CHOICE
A French woman who supported France’s left wing government and the protests asks why left wing protesters are looting her store. It’s a perfect distillation of left wing decisions, this is where it all leads.
We are witnessing Islamists right now burning Paris because Europe has committed cultural suicide.
We should look to France as foreshadowing for what America faces if we don’t stop this here.
We are fighting to save our nation.
That the @WNBA players could be so ignorant and ungrateful for the blessings of American liberty as to boycott our beloved national anthem is truly despicable. I hope the league goes down in flames. They're on their way. https://t.co/YnuBZTCKgZ
