AI is probably the biggest prisoner’s dilemma we’ve ever created. Everyone knows slowing down might be safer. But if OpenAI slows down and Anthropic doesn’t, OpenAI loses. If the US slows down and China doesn’t, the US loses. So nobody slows down.

That’s what makes this so insane. You don’t need some evil person trying to destroy the world. You just need a bunch of people making the rational decision for themselves over and over until collectively we’ve raced somewhere none of us actually wanted to go.

It’s a race to zero. Zero cost of intelligence. Zero time between thinking and doing. Maybe eventually zero need for us at all.

5. İçimizdeki görünmez duygulara kelimeler bulur. Yıllardır hissedip adlandıramadığımız şeyi bazen bir cümlede keşfederiz.

6. Yaşamadığımız hatalardan tecrübe kazandırır. Kendi tecrübemiz pahalıdır; kitap, insanlığın tecrübe transfer yollarından biridir.

7. Yalnız kalabilmeyi öğretir. Ekrana, kalabalığa ve sürekli uyarılmaya ihtiyaç duymadan kendimizle kalabilme gücü verir.

8. Manipüle edilmeyi zorlaştırır. İlk duyduğumuza teslim olmak yerine, “Başka bir açıklaması olabilir mi?” diye sordurur.

9. Zaman algımızı değiştirir. Bazen sorunu çözmez ama sorunun zihnimizde kapladığı alanı küçültür.

Seneler once derece yapan öğrenciler genellikle mühendislik seçerdi. Şu an tıp seçiyor olmalarının ülke için çok hayırlı olduğunu düşünmüyorum. Seçen öğrenciler için iş garantisi ve yüksek maaş sağlamasından dolayı hayırlı olma olasılığı yüksek ama.

This is exactly why Anthropic pisses me off.

You can keep saying the watermark doesn’t change ownership, doesn’t identify the user, doesn’t affect quality, doesn’t add hidden characters, and won’t look any different to readers. Fine. But that is not the whole issue. The issue is that you are still marking work that a human being may have thought through, structured, argued, and emotionally meant, just because AI helped process it.

AI assistance is not authorship. If I wrote the idea, the argument, the meaning, the emotional core, and the final judgment, then it is my work. If Claude helped translate it, polish a sentence, or make it clearer, that does not suddenly make Claude the author. But a watermark absolutely changes how people perceive authorship. People are not going to say, “Claude may have been involved in processing this text.” They are going to say, “AI wrote this.”

And honestly, who the hell are you to do that to my writing? Who gave you the right to stamp your model’s involvement onto work that came from my thoughts, my experience, my voice, and my judgment? You can say it does not change ownership all you want, but socially, reputationally, and creatively, it absolutely changes how the work is read.

So fine. Do whatever you want. Build your watermarking system. Follow whatever framework you want. I’m not using Claude. Good luck.

Let's say the PS6 is a digital only console (pretty much guaranteed now) and 20yrs after it's release you wanna get a game for the PS6 but they've shut down the store just like they did for the PS3/Vita. What are you going to do?

You can't go to a gamestop, a pawn shop, a flea market, ebay or whatever. This is planned obsolescence in its' final form. PlayStation now has 100% control over how you buy and play a game.

Your boy wanna sell you a game for cheap? Can't do that, gotta buy full price on PSN. Wanna give your boy a game to check out? too bad, he's gotta buy it for $70 on PSN.

This is terrible for videogame preservation and consumer rights
