Sen. Risa Hontiveros shared that she got a headache after the Senate resumed its probe into illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) in Tarlac and Bamban Mayor Alice Guo, where she noted several inconsistencies in her answers.

“Mayor Guo, sabi niyo po ay ayaw niyong magsinungaling, pero sa nakaraang oras ay ang dami ko paring narinig. Sinabi niyo sa TV interview na iniwan kayo ng nanay niyo pagkapanganak niyo, PERO kanina lang- inamin niyo na may anak pang sumunod sa inyo at tatlo pa kayong magkakapatid. Sabi niyo, nalaman niyong kapatid niyo si Shiela at Siemen pagkatapos ng hearing. PERO, inamin niyo rin kaninang nagsinungaling kayo last hearing para protektahan sila,” Hontiveros wrote.

“Sabi niyo, hindi niyo kilala si Nancy Gamo na involved sa POGO, pati mga kumpanya ng pamilya niyo. PERO nung pinakita na ang pruweba, naalala niyo bigla. Ipinipilit niyo na simpleng tao lang kayo. A disqualification complaint was filed against Jeanly Lin, a candidate running for Sangguniang Kabataan  chairperson in Barangay San Bartolome, Novaliches, Quezon City.

The complaint, which was lodged with the local Commission on Elections office in Quezon City by Andrea Lazaro, alleged that Lin, also known as "JLin," is not a Filipino citizen but a Chinese national.

In the 11-page complaint, Lazaro claimed that Lin's proficiency in Tagalog is limited, and that she allegedly relied on interpreters, while keeping  a group of bodyguards during her campaign in their village.

However, Lin's Certificate of Candidacy indicated that she is a Filipino citizen.

Jeanly is the daughter of Rose Lin, a Pharmally Pharmaceutical executive tagged in the allegedly questionable government supply contract worth billions of pesos during the pandemic.

Rose Lin ran as a representative in Quezon City's 5th District but lost to the brother of outgoing Congressman Alfred Vargas.
