Really like this ad, since it’s a reminder that even the biggest corporations can’t overlook the details. With dozens of people in their marketing department, you’d expect better attention to accuracy. @presidentchoice
@FL_NAEMSP Imagine the invaluable insights we could gather if hundreds of EMS services began measuring the quality of their manual ventilation during resuscitations of OHCA patients with EOlife devices. We could transform how we understand and improve this critical aspect of patient care.
First day of Trauma Bootcamp
Was a wonderful time
More sim based training
With Trauma Teams from all around E2 Al Ahsa Health Cluster
Today will be a full day
We got everyone
And..
@AirwayLegend I am holding the VieScope..
Great opportunity to practice Airway Management
@Aidan_Baron@AirwayLegend@doctimcook The UK's national average FPS was around 48%. This is close to the FPS of the Polish paramedics that took part to the following study using DL. The Vie Scope gave them a FPS of 93.3%. After only a 20 min training on manikins. Give them the right TOOL and they will succeed.
@Aidan_Baron@AirwayLegend@doctimcook The UK College of Paramedics should consider doing a trial with the Vie Scope. At some point you will come to the realization that it is not the users that are the problem. It's the tools we ask them to use. https://t.co/3iCAwWTyc9
@Aidan_Baron@AirwayLegend@doctimcook A 93.3% FPS rate for first time users of the Vie Scope, after a short 30 min training on manikin, wearing PPE. Compared to 51.1% FPS for the device they use on a daily basis. Even in normal conditions, VL does not provide such FPS... https://t.co/iZC8Gs4jqg
@Aidan_Baron@AirwayLegend@doctimcook Intubation doesn’t have to be challenging. With the right tool, it becomes straightforward. If one cannot master the skills after 5 intubations, it's not the right tool. VL IS NOT THE SOLUTION... #VIESCOPE

@Aidan_Baron@doctimcook The fear of intubation failure over the high chance of success with modern equipment including VL tells me that folks don’t trust paramedics to save their patients.
Thats why many are not allowed to use RSI…which ironically makes intubation harder
This is a training issue.
@Aidan_Baron@doctimcook This is a tough pill to swallow for many
Intubation is hard bc the equipment used is not easy to learn or use
That’s why there are so many airway courses. Unfortunately, many teach you the same old stuff over & over
Innovative courses offer alternative solutions
Go to those.
If VL is much easier to use, why is it that #UK#paramedics generally are not allowed to intubate?
FYI: the UK uses special airway teams that race towards the victim(s) (if their services are known to be needed) i.e. separately to hopefully save them.

@AirwayLegend@Anaes_Journal@NicholasChrimes This was just published: https://t.co/9fjtvNjJkM
The title of their meta-analysis says it all: "Bougie approach improves first-attempt success rate compared to stylet approach in patients with difficult airway needing endotracheal intubation"
